How will my instructor know that I am authorized accommodations?
Once you have requested accommodations in the AIM Portal, your instructor will receive a Faculty Notification Letter in their Butte College email that tells them what accommodations you have requested for that class.
How does DSPS know what my instructor lets the class do for tests?
When the Faculty Notification Letter is sent to your instructor, it includes a link to the Alternative Testing Agreement that they need to fill out and submit to the DSPS office that tells us all about the tests.
How does the instructor know where I want to take my tests?
You are required to talk to your instructor to tell them where you want to take your tests within five (5) days of submitting your accommodation request(s). The Instructor cannot complete the Alternative Testing Agreement without talking to you first.
How do I make arrangements to take a test in the DSPS office?
You must first log into AIM and request Exam Accommodations as part of your accommodation requests, then have a talk with your instructor to let them know you plan to take your tests in the DSPS office. They will complete the Alternative Testing Agreement and submit it to our office. Then you can make an exam reservation in the AIM portal to take your exam in the DSPS office. For help making a reservation, click on this link to access this helpful guide.
I am not able to log into the AIM portal, what do I do?
Contact the staff in the DSPS office by phone at 530-895-2455, email at dsps@soadonefnet.com, or stop by the office to let us know you are having trouble logging in. Be sure to include your name and student ID number in the email.
As a DSPS student do I qualify for priority registration?
Yes, all active DSPS students qualify for priority registration as part of their accommodations. To ensure you maintain your active status you must sign your e-form agreements and request accommodations each semester.
How do I apply as a DSPS Student Assistant employee?
Job postings are located on Handshake each semester as positions become available. A completed copy of the HR application and availability forms can be submitted to the DSPS office via email (at dsps@soadonefnet.com). Contact the DSPS staff at 530-895-2455 if you have any questions on the application or interview process.
